**If you have a roll-off, trailer, or large load you must check-in 1/2 hour before closing** We are required by State of Colorado Regulations to close for high winds, blowing snow/dust and severe weather. Receiving zero tax payer dollars, the SLV Regional Solid Waste Facility (SLVRSWA) is a valuable public service and operates as a self-funded entity derived by its revenue proceeds. (SLVRSWA) is a Solid Waste Facility where the final treatment of Solid Wastes occurs. The SLVRSWA serves the six area regional partners it is designed to serve and support; Alamosa, Conejos, Costilla, Mineral, Rio Grande and Saguache counties. Hauling of solid wastes from other counties is discouraged and requires approval of the Landfill Manager.
